These are mine and Heidi's initial ideas for a story working through three key looks to promote the newly successful designer Marko Mitanovski. We have established we want a slow fading beautifully over lapping style of sequences reminiscent of David Lynch's work We also liked the idea of a slightly unclear portrayal of a melancholic narrative. The outfits proved to be a lot of work and we hoped they would work well in windy camber sands, and give impact among the backdrops of grey melancholic tones.
The idea of a direct love story and loss was shaken up when we received an invitation to our designers short presentation film and to see his work up close. This was extremely exciting and helpful, we came away with lots of inspiration and a stronger vision of the look. The concept of a love for his clothing and almost an obsession for him and his style came about. This seemed a more successful theme as the loss of love idea was a little to depressing to promote the clothing.
